Luan - A local girl coming back to her roots.

I was born in Ampthill in 1971 and attended Russell School until I was 6. We moved to Maulden and I spent many happy years there, attending Maulden Lower School where I made many lifelong friends.  I now live in Flitwick with my hubby Jim, son Kieran (11) and daughter Caitlyn (5)

After breaking my back in a car accident at 17, I spent many months not knowing if I would spend my life in a wheelchair. This gave me time to dream and opening my own shop was one of them. With determination and strength I fought back and eventually walked again.

Now, two children and a whole lot of hard work later, a former Travel agent and estate agent,  I eventually set about deciding what sort of business would be for me.  I did a lot of research in the Flitwick and Ampthill area and spoke to many people, who agreed that there was nowhere locally to go and get toys for their families or  presents for their children's friends birthdays.  So that's why Fairies n Frogs was created. To hopefully give the area somewhere local to buy QUALITY toys and gifts at the right price, without having to go into Town.

May 2010 my shop opens and my dream comes true. I hope that I will become know for that 'old fashioned' Quality and Service,  that is not always found in the large stores.

I have now closed my first little shop ...and OPENED IN THE CENTRE OF AMPTHILL! Thank you to everyone that has made this possible
